Core

We use CRGO low‑loss, non‑ageing silicon steel laminations built into multi‑section cores with carefully interleaved joints. Cores are clamped using steel channels with tie‑rods for rigidity under short‑circuit forces.

Windings & Insulation

Low‑tension windings are placed adjacent to the core with an insulation barrier; executed as helical, multi‑layer or continuous disc coils using flat copper strips per current rating. High‑tension windings use crossover coils (up to ~1500 kVA) with inter‑layer kraft/manila paper, reinforced by pressboard spacers and oil ducts for cooling and dielectric strength.

Tapping

Taps are generally provided on the HT winding (LT on request). Off‑circuit tap switches are internally mounted with external operation and locking provision. On‑Load Tap Changer (OLTC) options are available for applications requiring live voltage regulation.

Tank & Fittings

Mild‑steel tanks are fully welded, with radiator banks for cooling and a conservator to isolate oil from ambient moisture. Breathing is through a dehydrating silica‑gel breather. Standard fittings and clearances meet relevant Indian standards; high‑quality porcelain bushings are provided. Cable boxes and additional fittings can be supplied to specification.
